A great way to customize interfaces or buttons from Photoshop Web Foundry, Interface Foundry and/or Button Foundry is to drag and drop components from one file to another. To drag and drop something between two Photoshop files, you need to have both files open and then drag a layer from the Layers palette to the "stage" or working area of the recipient file. The new artwork will be positioned at the center point of where you let up on the mouse during the drag and drop operation. Often, though, you'd rather have the artwork centered when it's dragged and dropped or you want it to be positioned in the new file exactly where it was in the old file.
To center the artwork, Shift+Drag the layer into the target document (be sure to let go of the mouse before letting go of the Shift key). If you need the artowork to be positioned in the new file exactly where it was in the old file, you will have to make sure the two files are the same size. If they are the same size and resolution, shift+Dragging the layer to the target document will register the artwork exactly where it was in the document the artwork came from.
Finally, note that the layer that you drag to the target document will be positioned on the above the layer that you had selected in the target document. So, if you don't want to hassle with dragging the new artwork up a bunch of layers after to you drag it from one document to another, be sure to select the layer that you want it to be positioned above before you do the drag and drop operation.
